Born and raised in Atlanta, Keith Kenney developed a passion for construction and design early in life. Spending time at family homes in Sea Island, Lake Burton, Buckhead, and Montana gave him a deep appreciation for architecture, craftsmanship, and the lasting impact of well-built spaces.

Keith attended Oak Hill Academy, where he was the starting point guard for the nationally ranked basketball team. He continued his basketball career on scholarship at Georgia Tech, where he studied Business Management and began developing the leadership skills that would later shape his career in construction.

Keith built his early career by gaining experience in every phase of residential construction, from framing to finishes, and eventually founded Southern Skies Construction with a simple but uncommon philosophy at the time: give equal credit to both the architect and the builder. Back then, it was rare to see shared recognition in marketing or signage—but Keith believed great work was always a team effort. That mindset quickly earned him the respect of the architectural and design community and became a foundation of his success.

​During the COVID-19 era, Keith expanded his industry perspective by joining a construction technology startup that later became part of Manufacton / ALLPLAN. The company focused on extracting actionable data from 3D design models—primarily from Revit—to help large commercial contractors better understand and execute the intent of architectural plans. This experience deepened Keith’s understanding of modern project coordination and technology-driven workflows, adding another layer to his approach in the field.

Over the course of his career, Keith has managed and built over $50 million worth of custom residential and small commercial projects—each one shaped by thoughtful design collaboration and a commitment to excellence.

Today, Southern Skies Construction specializes in high-end residential remodels, custom additions, full-home renovations, and select small commercial projects throughout Atlanta. Keith leads each project with clear communication, efficient coordination, and respect for everyone involved. Whether collaborating with architects and designers or guiding homeowners through complex builds, he ensures that every project reflects thoughtful design and quality execution from start to finish.
